100 Big Green Challengers announced

April 18, 2008 :: by lars 0 responses

Today, NESTA announced the next stage of the Big Green Challenge competition. From the pool of 359 entrants, 100 competitors were selected.

The 100 will supply more details about their projects for the judges to peruse. Ten of the projects will be selected as finalists to put their ideas into practice with advice from CRed and UnLtd. Oh, and there is a prize fund of £1m.

Headshift has been involved with the Big Green Challenge from the outset.

It was a nice surprise to see another Headshift project in the list of competitors. Do the green thing uses a social approach and a distinct, fun style to nudge people to change their behaviour and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Peer encouragement rather than peer pressure. Check out the Green thing blog and go sign up. Or watch the hilarious Green thing videos first.
