Open source limitations and potential

Felix Stalder writes on nettime about Six Limitations to the Current Open Source Development Methodology, citing reasons why, in his view, open source development is not yet gaining the kind of traction that we all expect it to.

Felix made an interesting presentation in Novi Sad recently about Open Source as a Social Principle that looks beyond the purely technical code-level towards a wider application fo the open source ideals. He also has a consulting company called Openflows that explores these issues.
