Social software tools and techniques are transforming the way we communicate both as individuals, organisations and networks. Exciting new ideas in this field are emerging and evolving all the time, and Headshift are actively involved in exploring how these innovations can benefit companies, networks and social organisations in practical ways.

We are a small but rapidly growing specialist business with an excellent client portfolio, an award-winning track record and many years' experience of developing innovative online knowledge communities, dynamic websites and learning tools. More recently, and we are emerging as one of the UK's leading experts in this exciting new area of online development.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social software enthusiast to help us identify, create and lead projects, working with a tight-knit friendly development and consulting team. You will need to follow current debates and developments in web development, weblogs, wikis, online social networking and knowledge sharing in order to assimilate curent thinking into online projects with our customers and partners. You will need exemplary written, verbal and online communication skills, with a strong and growing network.
Technically you must have solid conceptual knowledge of web development, information architecture, usability and social interfaces, content management and metadata. A specialisation in other technical or social science fields would be welcome, and demonstrable experience is essential. More than that, though, we are looking for somebody with a passion for connecting and empowering people supported by online networking. Being a blogger or social software user is highly desirable.

You will spend most of your time developing project ideas with existing and future customers and partners, and helping lead these projects throught to successful completion alongside the principals of the business and working with a talented multi-disciplinary team.
