Belated congratulations to Ross Mayfield for Socialtext's series B funding round of $3.1m to grow the company and expand the market for their wiki-based social software tool.

Of interest to me is Ross's account of using Socialtext to accelerate due diligence, as this (redacted! redacted!) deal page shows. A useful illustration of one of the many uses that wiki-based approaches have in an enterprise (and SME) setting. Faster, cheaper, better due diligence. Sound's good, eh?

Anyway, here's to the Socialtext team - well done.
