WANTED: 2 Web producers / Project managers

Want to join our team?

Salary negotiable depending on experience
Shad Thames, London SE1

Opportunity
Headshift is a professional online social media consulting and development company, which is rapidly emerging as the UK market leader in this specialist sector. We work with a range of knowledge-based organisations to create successful online communication projects that exploit the power of social networking.

Our solutions cover the full spectrum from bespoke development to pure software integration. Most of the systems we develop use web services, and we have also developed our own modular social networking and knowledge sharing platform.

We now have an immediate need for 2 professional web producers / project managers to take on a range of exciting client projects, taking on responsibility for delivering these on time, on spec and to budget, working as part of a friendly, committed and highly professional technical development and design team in our open-plan offices by Butler's Wharf in London SE1.

Role

  • Work alongside project consultants to turn business requirements into clear production briefs, work scope documents and professional project plans
  • Plan and monitor the allocation of team resources on specific projects, maximising their utilisation and minimising downtime
  • Lead the production of a range of online applications, working as part of a tight-knit consulting, interface design and technology team
  • Take responsibility for the timely delivery of projects and ensuring the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction
  • Communicate project priorities and address issues in a proactive manner, working with both in-house and client teams to facilitate the smooth running of individual projects
  • Provide the main client communications interface on all production and project management issues

Person

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a web production environment (preferably agency-side but we will consider appropriate in-house team experience)
  • Demonstrable track record of successful web project delivery following agile production methodologies
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision and the ability to occasionally work under pressure to meet client deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of web / software production process
  • Good understanding of dynamic web applications and a working knowledge of key web development technologies - whilst this is not a technical developer role, a hands-on development background will be a distinct advantage
  • Pleasant personality, good presentation and excellent social skills. Impeccable written English and verbal communication abilities
  • Sufficient credibility to lead development teams working in a flat-structure, collaborative team environment
  • Good knowledge of, and keen interest in, social software and Web 2.0 developments
  • Degree-level education almost certainly needed - but we'd be happy to be proved wrong
