Confluence User Group - London

On Tuesday 15th September 2009 we will be hosting a free of charge Confluence User Group in London. The event will be held at Birkbeck University, 43 Gordon Square, Camden Town, Greater London WC1H, UK, near Euston Square and Russell Square tube stations, and close to Euston and Kings Cross / St Pancras main line stations.

With the release of Confluence version 3.0 this represents a unique opportunity to engage with Atlassian about the new features and future direction of Confluence, as well as share experiences with individuals and organisations using Confluence to power their social intranet.

We are running separate business and technical tracks to ensure that both the technical and business aspects of Confluence deployments are covered. In particular, this user group will be of interest to:

  • Existing Confluence customers looking to learn more about version 3.0
  • Business and technical focused people who are evaluating Confluence or considering a Confluence deployment
  • Business sponsors of Confluence projects with an interest in adoption strategies
  • Confluence users looking to exchange stories and best practice tips on how to make the most of Confluence
The agenda is as follows:

14:00 - 14:15: Registration
14:15 - 14:45: Confluence update from Atlassian
14:45 - 15:15: Headshift on Confluence 3.0
15:15 - 15:30: Break
15:30 - 16:30: Split for Business and Technical track
16:30 - 17:30: Birds of a Feather sessions
17:30 - 18:30: Networking and drinks

Technical Track
15:30 - 16:00 Development implications of upgrading to 3.0
16:00 - 16:15 Confluence / JIRA integration
16:15 - 16:30 Design considerations for theming

Business Track
15:30 - 16:00 Customer experiences of adoption challenges
16:00 - 16:30 Using Confluence at the heart of a wider social networking strategy

Hi Jon,

I appreciate the swift response.

I was unable to email you direct as Mailer returned as undelivered.

My colleague is most likely to be our Product Manager, Julie Rissman but this may be altered dependant on company need. I will of course let you know in the event it does.

Kind regards
