Should Google search blogs?

by

Do teenage girls hold no fear for Andrew Orlowski? ;-) His latest anti-blogging piece in The Register claims lots of reader support for the idea of Google removing blogs from search results in order to lessen the discursive “noise” that gets in the way of “facts”. He will not be entirely unaware that this article will provoke more blogger wrath and anti-Orlowski commentary
However, there is certainly some merit to the argument that the prolific output of bloggers is polluting search results. This will be an interesting debate and wil surely run and run, but hopefully the increasingly polarised camps will stop bitching at each other and start considering the user issues involved.
