Dan Hill links to the recent Demos 3G Mobile phone report, which pays particular attention to the role of mobile phones in city life. He draws out one of the interesting aspects of the report, which is a call for the development of social software on phones to enable some of the more interesting potential uses of 3G and wireless technology in general
“The report also predicts the rise of new forms of social interaction using new mobile technologies. It calls on the mobile operators to offer ‘social software’ as part of their packages which would encourage uses such as video blogging and peer-to-peer networks.”
