Macromedia have launched a public beta of Central, now available for download. Central is an interesting idea – a desktop environment for Flash applications that can download data from the internet when the machine is connected and retains the information locally for use when offline
Initial applications include a weather ticker (US only), an Amazon browser and a cute interface for fullasagoog regulars.
