Peter Van Dijck has reconstructed the recent online debate around Clay Shirky’s rejection of the Semantic Web as a themed narrative with charatcers: Themes and metaphors in the semantic web discussion
It is an interesting idea, if somewhat bizarre in its execution. Of course, different people may query the summary of the debate’s main points, but it is really just Peter’s POV
Thanks to the inimitable Marc Canter for the link and also for reminding me that (a) we share a global culture in which all forms of social interaction involve selling something or getting laid, and (b) neither I nor my fellow speaker on Dec 3 are qualified to speak on this subject because we are not in his FOAF file. I stand corrected on both counts ;-)
