The Wee Man is a welcome addition to our neighbourhood, highlighting the urgent need for individuals, businesses and manufacturers to think more carefully about the environmental impact of all our shiny electronic toys. The European Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive will soon become law, and producers will be covered from January 2006. It aims to reduce the amount of WEEE going to landfill, by requiring manufacturers to take responsibility for dealing with their products at the end of their lives
