Following the success of last year’s Confluence User Group, with over 70 attendees, we are delighted to provide details for our next user group event. This year, we are partnering with Adaptavist – a UK based specialist in technical services complimenting / extending Atlassian’s Confluence software who will focus on the technology, whilst we will focus on the use cases and business case for Confluence.
Coinciding with the release of new Confluence 3.2, this will be a great opportunity to network with industry representatives as well as existing Confluence users, and useful for those looking to exchange tips on how to maximise uses of Confluence. It will also be invaluable for those of you wanting to learn about Confluence adoption strategies and Confluence deployment within an organisation.
Taking last year’s feedback into account and hoping for as strong attendance this year, agenda for the day will look as follows:
13:30 – 14:00 Arrival and Registration
14:00 – 14:30 Presentation on behalf of Atlassian
14:30 – 15:00 Open Q & A
15:00 – 17:00 Split into technical and business tracks
17:00 – 18:00 Drinks and Networking
We will run two separate tracks between 15:00 and 17:00 with view of making sure that everyone gets the most of the day. Adaptavist will take lead in technical track and Headshift will manage the business track with presentations of case studies coming from a diverse sample of existing Confluence users. Our agenda for the business track is as follows:
- Where does Confluence sit within an organisation alongside SharePoint?
- The content life cycle in a wiki: important or redundant?
- ‘We built it but they won’t come’ – How to spur adoption and facilitate communities in Confluence
- Searching vs Finding: Thoughts on how to make sure people find your content
