Headshift is looking for an experienced PHP developer, with a deep knowledge of either Drupal or WordPress, to join the production team to build and extend a series of exciting, and innovative applications.

In addition to very high technical standards, we also expect a successful candidate to have good social and communication skills and be used to working well with a team, and clients in an agile, flexible environment.

You must have experience with:

• Using PHP 5.2 and 5.3, with MySQL.
• Version Control Systems, in particular Git.
• Working on commercial WordPress or Drupal projects
• Writing your own modules or wordpress plugins, and extending themes in a maintainable way.

Experience in the following is a bonus:

• Working in an agile, flexible environment, and using tools like Pivotal Tracker in sprints.
• Experience with PHP testing frameworks, specifically Simpletest and PHP-Unit.
• Working with and deploying code to Linux servers and working with the command line, ideally with an automated process like using Capsitrano for WordPress or Drush for Drupal.
• A keen appreciation of standards compliant XHTML and CSS.
• Visible contributions to existing open source projects, or having an relevant online presence (i.e. being active on github, running your own blog, etc.)
