- Website: chieftech.com.au
James has over a decade of experience in the areas of information and knowledge management, with a special interest in collaboration technologies and the relationship between people and technology. He had the opportunity to work with a range of collaboration technologies at Ernst & Young in their award winning Center for Business Knowledge during the early 2000s, at a time where many organisations were still struggling with basic intranet concepts.
James combines depth of knowledge and strong business analysis skills with a hands on approach - he once travelled 500 metres underground into a coal mine so he could understand his mining client just that little bit better.
His professional background includes experience with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Ernst & Young, the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and Sydney's New Children's Hospital. In his career as a consultant he has worked with a number of blue-chip Australian organisations across a range of sectors from mining to government and financial services to health care.
He has blogged for many years at chieftech.blogspot.com and loves nothing more than to wake up early on a Saturday to get out a post before the rest of the family wakes up!
James completed a Master of Business & Technology (MBT) at the University of New South Wales in 2005. He lives with his family in the city of Wollongong, Australia.
