London Business Support Network knowledge centre wins best intranet award

The London Business Support Network Knowledge Centre last week won the Best Intranet or Extranet Project category of the International Information Industry Awards 2003 fighting off competition from the BBC research gateway, MG Rovers Dealer Extranet and BT Group’s Legal Knowledge Team Library.

The LBSN KC is one of a series of issue-based knowledge centres developed by Business Link for London over the past couple of years as a resource for their network of business advisers and service delivery partners. During that time (pre-Headshift), myself, Livio and our team worked very closely with BL4L’s Head of Online Services, Andrew Rumfitt, and Simon Forrest of Conversus to develop a robust framework that could be extended over time to encompass different subject areas and industries. More recently, we have also been involved in helping BL4L understand the online service needs of SMEs in the capital, and we hope that the organisation can now build on the success that Andy and his team have achieved to take forward this strategy. Congratulations to all who were involved in the project, wherever you are these days 😉
