Le Web was a great conference to close a year of many events around the world. Here are my brief notes and observations about the event
The UK has been suspended from the Techcrunch universe for attempted journalism. The Foreign Office are currently in negotiations with the State Department and the Queen is likely to apologise in the hope that we can be allowed back in 😉
Le Web 3 was a spectacular conference – the biggest of its kind in Europe so far – and it provided a fascinating insight into the current state of the continent’s social software scene, which is becoming more entrepreurial and investment driven.
This great for innovation in the consumer sectors, but if most new companies are chasing the investment bubble, then who will do the hard work of bringing these new technologies to European businesses? Three guesses… 😉
Two great conferences coming up: Le Web in Paris LIFT in Geneva – both will provide excellent opportunities to learn about the European social software/media scene, and perhaps learn something new along the way.
(and yes, we are still hiring – super sysadmin and project managers especially welcome 😉
